This year's festival will take place at the Pasadena City College in Pasadena, California, USA from August 3-15, 2017. The deadline to register for the festival is July 15, 2017

The International Two Cranes Festival The Festival is presented by the Acevedo Music & Art Education Foundation, a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt non-profit organization. 

FESTIVAL PROGRAM OVERVIEW

A CULTURAL EXCHANGE
The Two Cranes International Music Festival is a cultural music and educational festival that welcomes students from USA and around the world.

CURRICULUM
Students will participate in daily master classes, private lessons, and ensemble coaching sessions with renowned faculty for the piano, violin, viola, cello and voice. 

Students also have the option of selecting from a wide array of music and cultural enrichment classes, including: 

  • Music Theory & Sight Singing
  • Piano Pedagogy
  • Multimedia Presentation Classes (Music and Visuals) with  Prof. Alan Chapman
  • Jazz, pop and musical theatre  
  • German and French Art Songs with Prof. Karen Benjamin Chapman
  • The art of improvisation
  • The fundamental of string playing
  • A revolutionary to the successful auditions
  • The pianist as collaborate artist with singer & instrumentalist
  • Life coaching

PERFORMANCE OPPORTUNITIES

 Students will perform in various recitals and concerts with faculty in Westerbeck Recital Hall in Pasadena City College (Pasadena, CA). Students will also have the opportunity to compete in the Two Cranes International Young Musician Competition. Winners will receive cash prizes and solo performances with the Two Cranes Chamber Orchestra.

SIGHTSEEING TOURS
All participants (both students and chaperones/parents/family) are welcome to participate in an guided tour through popular Southern California tourist attractions: NASA JPL, UCLA, USC, CalTech, Hollywood Bowl Concerts, the Rose Bowl, Universal Studios, Southern California Beaches and Disney Concert Hall. Participants will also have the opportunity to meet with movie stars & NBA athletes. Please visit the sightseeing section of the site for more information.
