Lauded for her technical finesse and refined musicianship, Deborah Kim has performed internationally as a concert soloist and chamber musician.  Raised in a musical family, Ms. Kim received her Bachelor of Music degree from the USC Thornton School of Music and her Master of Music degree from the New England Conservatory, studying under Alice Schoenfeld, Eudice Shapiro, Robert Koff, Paul Kantor, and Dorothy Delay at the Aspen Music Festival. 

Highlights of Ms. Kim’s past appearances have included a performance of the Beethoven Triple Concerto at the Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles and Zipper Hall.  Through the years, she has performed with various chamber groups and ensembles of contrasting genre.  Currently, she is assistant-concertmaster of the Brentwood-Westwood Symphony. 

An avid educator, Ms. Kim directed a private music school for 8 years and conducted a summer youth orchestra.  She is on the faculty of Junior Chamber Music of Orange County, has been on the panel of judges for numerous competitions, and has continued teaching privately for over 20 years where students have won top competitions and continued on to music schools.  Ms. Kim serves as President of the Board of the Brentwood-Westwood Symphony Orchestra.
